IPv6, which stands for Internet Protocol version 6, is a new address protocol designed to increase the number of available IP addresses. The IPv4 s still current, but soon will be limited in the number of available IP addresses. IPv6 uses Simplified header format, and has a fixed length header that contains two 128 bit addresses.
